Officials Information

SPORTS OFFICIALS INFORMATION

We are looking for the very best officials that your institution has to offer. If you have any officials who are interested, please have them submit a completed Officials Interest Form. We need to receive the form no later than one (1) week prior to the start of the tournament. The officials will receive an invitation email by the Monday of the tournament.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

We welcome all qualified officials from Louisiana Institutions; if not enough officials have submitted interest forms, schools from around Region IV will be asked to send officials.

Official’s workshop will be held on the Friday preceding the tournament.

All officials will receive a staff t-shirt.

Officials will need to bring black pants/shorts, black shoes (mostly black will work).

Flag Football – long and short sleeve black and white striped collared shirts, black or piped hat, two penalty flags, down indicator, bean bag, and two whistles.

Volleyball – short sleeve black and white striped non-collared shirt (host school may provide t-shirt), red/yellow cards, and two whistles.

Basketball – short sleeve black and white striped non-collared shirt and two whistles.

Softball – powder blue collared shirt and umpire indicator.

Officials will receive $12.00/game officiated.

Officials may be used for scorekeeping or recording stats.

Officials will be paid by the university, so checks will be mailed after the tournament.

Meals will be provided for Friday dinner, Saturday (breakfast and lunch), and Sunday (breakfast and lunch).

Hospitality tent will be available throughout the tournament.

Verbal feedback from evaluators will be provided (written evaluations may be done).
